To Upload Files for Printing
Please follow this simple procedure to assure your successful output order.
Step 1. Print our file checklist, and cross-check yourself.
Be sure you've set up these files as detailed on the sheet. Files that aren't set up correctly are ALWAYS delayed, and generally incur correction fees. Save time and money, and check first!
Step 2. Compress your files.
Please compress ALL files sent to us. Uncompressed files often drop critical data (extensions, fonts). You can download compressions software for MAC (www.stuffit.com) and PC (www.winzip.com)
Step 3. Upload your File.
A. If you have worked with Image 4 before, you should have an FTP folder, user name and password. If you need this information, please call us at 800.735.1130, or email Digital@image4.com
B. If you have NOT worked with Image 4 in the past 12 months, please call us at 800.735.1130 and ask a client services representative to initialize a secure FTP folder for you.
C. ON A WINDOWS MACHINE:
Open a browser such as Firefox or Explorer. Type into the navigation box: ftp.image4.com
A dialogue box will return and ask you to enter your USERNAME= and PASSWORD=
Once you have entered this information, the browser will return an image of the content of your folder. Drag the file from your computer to the folder displayed in the browser. Your file will upload.
D. ON A MACINTOSH MACHINE:
Dowload an FTP client software. We like to use FETCH, which is available here: FetchSoftworks.com We also have had excellent feedback on Apple's FTP software, available here: http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/internet_utilities/classicftpformac.html
After you have installed this software on your machine, follow the directions in the software to open a dialogue box.
Type into the navigation box: ftp.image4.com
A dialogue box will return and ask you to enter your USERNAME= and PASSWORD=
Please contact us if you need your USERNAME and PASSWORD at Digital@image4.com or call us at 800.735.1130
Once you have entered this information, the browser will return an image of the content of your folder. Drag the file from your computer to the folder displayed in the browser. Your file will upload.
Step 4. Please send an email (digital@image4.com) or make a phone call (800.735.1130) to your client service representative or to our imaging department telling us the file is up.
Please include the following information. In fact, copy and paste this template into your email!
I have uploaded the following files: (enter file names)
I have placed them in this folder: (your client folder name)
Please contact me about this order at: (phone number please!) and (email please!)
Email to: sales@image4.com with a cc to: digital@image4.com

1. Launch your ftp client
2. Log into ftp.image4.com
3. Enter your user name and password
4. Your folder will now be visible. Open your file or drag it to your desktop as you normally would.
